Sound familiar?

Start with what you’ve noticed.

  • Slow startup on an older computer
  • Storage warnings or too little space for games and files
  • Struggling when several apps are open
  • A PC that no longer suits the way you use it

What TechSav can help with

We offer suitable SSD and RAM installation, storage clean-up, data transfer and other agreed PC hardware upgrades. We will discuss your apps, budget and current hardware so the upgrade has a clear purpose.

What we normally check

  • Exact model, existing hardware and manufacturer compatibility information
  • Whether memory or storage can be replaced or expanded
  • Which limitation is affecting the work you actually do
  • Drive condition, backup status and the plan for your existing files

What could be happening?

Storage capacity, storage responsiveness and working memory are different things. More RAM does not create room for files. More storage does not automatically fix crashes. The model and diagnosis decide which change, if any, makes sense.

Not every laptop has replaceable memory or an extra storage slot. Specialist recovery from failed storage is not offered.

How it works

A decision before a repair.

  1. 01

    Describe the problem

Send your symptoms, model and postcode. We check whether the enquiry fits our service.

  2. 02

    Agree the approach

We confirm the assessment or work and charging basis. Parts and extra work need your approval.

  3. 03

    Know the next step

We explain the finding, agreed work and outcome. If it needs a specialist, we say so.

A couple of useful questions.

Can every laptop take more RAM?

No. Some models have fixed memory, capacity limits or specific module requirements. We check your exact model first.

Will an SSD fix my slow computer?

It may help where the existing drive is the limitation, but not every slowdown is a drive problem. We check the fault before recommending an upgrade.
