General guidance, not a diagnosis of your device. Possible causes below need assessment before a repair decision.
Wi-Fi and internet access are not the same thing
A device can connect to the router’s wireless network while the router has no usable internet connection. Equally, one device may fail while others work. Microsoft’s connection guidance includes checking other devices and the router connection to help separate these situations.
Map the pattern
Note the affected rooms, devices and times. Does the problem change when you move closer to the router? Are wired devices affected too? Does a printer disappear while browsing still works? You do not need to diagnose the answer yourself; these observations make an enquiry much more useful.
Do you need new equipment?
Not necessarily. Coverage, device configuration and a broadband-provider problem call for different next steps. A new router or mesh purchase should follow a finding, a suitability check and an agreed budget. TechSav does not promise a speed increase or claim to repair an ISP outage.
How a home visit helps
Our basic home support can cover Wi-Fi checks, router or mesh setup, device and printer connections and basic Ethernet troubleshooting. An onsite appointment is £55 including the first hour and travel within the core service area. Extra time is £12 per 15 minutes only after approval. Coverage is confirmed by postcode.
What to send
Include your postcode, router and device models, the affected rooms and whether other devices can connect. Never send your Wi-Fi password or account credentials. Enterprise networking, server changes, managed firewalls and structured cabling are outside this service.
